President of South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association (SFHHA)
For over thirty years, Ms. Quick’s work has required familiarity with all aspects of South Florida’s health and human services systems. Ms Quick has been involved with different initiatives in the South Florida community from neonatal intensive care to developments in hospice care, from hospital based psychiatric service to alternatives to hospitalization, from community-based health policy planning to coordination efforts that have required study and analysis of the full range and scope of health facilitates.
In her current position, President of the South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association (SFHHA), she oversees activities working with over 50 hospitals and 100 additional members in Broward, Dade, Monroe, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties, providing advocacy at the local, state and national levels and educational programs for members. On behalf of the Association, she has consulted with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Commonwealth Fund, the Center for Study of Health System Change, and the National Health Policy Forum as they study South Florida’s health care market. Ms. Quick is also the President of the South Florida Hospital Research and Education Foundation where she raises funds to support an annual seminar on contemporary healthcare issues.
During her career, Ms. Quick has assisted the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, the Florida Department of Children & Families (formerly Health and Rehabilitative Services) and the Florida Department of Elder Affairs with special projects at the state, regional and district levels. She has consulted with Dade, Broward and Monroe County Commissioners and the Palm Beach County Health Care District on the impact of state and federal legislation and provided input to numerous Governors’ Task Forces on everything from Disaster Preparedness to Southeast Florida, 2025.
Ms. Quick has sat on a number of the American Hospital Association’s work groups and is currently on the PR Workgroup of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Her work on and with Boards, committees and task forces has required interaction with the community’s, state’s and the country’s leading providers and consumers of health and social services. Ms. Quick is now on the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Chairs its Health & Bioscience Committee, and sits on the Executive Board of Community Blood Services of South Florida. She also sits on the Broward Workforce Development Board, the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, and the Broward Alliance Board of Directors.
